{"id":213,"date":"2020-01-28T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2020-01-28T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"-0001-11-30T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"-0001-11-30T00:00:00","slug":"attic-tales-and-gasoline-rain","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ajulea.com\/index.php\/2020\/01\/28\/attic-tales-and-gasoline-rain\/","title":{"rendered":"Attic Tales and Gasoline Rain"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>The night creeps up the stairs, <br \/>\nlike thieves do, silently. <br \/>\nThe only giveaway<br \/>\nis the squeaking mouse which<br \/>\nhides, under a floorboard, <br \/>\ndilapidated like<br \/>\nmost things in the attic-<br \/>\nthe attic which houses me. <br \/>\nWhen the double digits<br \/>\nof your age aren&#8217;t too large, <br \/>\nfour white walls and the wind<br \/>\nthrough a broken window<br \/>\nare the canvas and paint<br \/>\nyou use to map out your<br \/>\ngold brick road at midnight. <br \/>\nThe nights are sinister-<br \/>\npeeling ceiling plaster <br \/>\nrain down like shards on your <br \/>\ndearth of accomplishments, <br \/>\nas though tripping around<br \/>\nthe sun for years wasn&#8217;t <br \/>\nrevolutionary. <br \/>\nBut when ambrosia <br \/>\nreeks of gasoline rain<br \/>\nand tastes like syrupy<br \/>\nlies you serve yourself in<br \/>\nmuddy cheap beer bottles, <br \/>\nthis attic may be the<br \/>\nhighest heaven you&#8217;ll reach. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The night creeps up the stairs,   like thieves do, silently.
