Dance with me

Dance with me as shadows linger,
celebrating sunset like one
grateful for the cool crescent foam
of swaying waves washing over
toes dipped in summer sand at noon,
which sink in surreptitiously,
like one falls in love, or I did,
watching you viewing the sunset
with those happy hot chocolate eyes.
Dance with me as the lone street lamp
showers us with its warm, soft glow
while whistling winds and waltzing leaves
play tag in treetops at twilight.
