Uncertainty

When pours a drop of uncertainty,
And rolls to the bottom of the cup,
Let it remain what it wants to be,
Let me brave the fear and lick it up.

Fear is good, or so I’ve been told,
But let me not dwell on it so long
That it robs me of the best of me,
As I worry about being wrong.

Remind me that uncertainty can
Be the reason why the bulb was lit
Be the game changer of hollow plans
Be the reason why someone did it.
